Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy wins 3,490 INR-Crore solar project

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited has secured the solar project from Coal India Limited. The company emerged as the lowest bidder for the project on Monday, April 20. The contract is valued at at an estimated 3,490 INR-Crore, including O&M and taxes.

The project involves the development of an 875 MW (AC) grid-connected solar PV plant in Bikaner, Rajasthan. It will be executed on a turnkey EPC basis. The scope includes engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the solar facility.

Once executed, the Sterling Wilson solar project will strengthen large-scale solar capacity in Rajasthan. It will also support Coal India’s transition into renewable energy and expand EPC activity in India’s solar sector.
