Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has floated a tender for the Tughlakabad-Kalindi Kunj metro corridor under Delhi Metro Phase 5A. The authority issued the tender on Monday, May 25, for appointment of a detailed design consultant. The Delhi Metro Tughlakabad-Kalindi Kunj corridor forms part of the Golden Line extension in Delhi.
The proposed corridor will span 3.9 Km and will connect Tughlakabad with Kalindi Kunj. The project will include three elevated stations along the route. Additionally, the scope covers development of the Sarita Vihar depot and associated interchange infrastructure. Authorities have estimated the project cost at 1,024.87 INR-Crore. The Delhi Government will contribute around 251.36 INR-Crore toward the development. The project is targeted for completion by 2028-29.

The Tughlakabad-Kalindi Kunj corridor will strengthen metro connectivity in south and southeast Delhi. Additionally, the project will support expansion of urban transit infrastructure and improve regional mobility across key residential and commercial areas.
