The Union Cabinet has approved the highway project worth an estimated 3,712 INR-Crore under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) in Bihar. The approved corridor will connect Mokama and Munger in Bihar. Authorities aim to strengthen regional highway infrastructure and improve connectivity across the state.
The project involves the construction of a 4-lane access-controlled greenfield highway corridor. The proposed alignment will span approximately 75 Km. Additionally, the project includes development of bridges, interchanges and associated highway infrastructure. The corridor will improve connectivity between NH-31 and NH-33 while supporting freight movement in the region.

Once operational, the Bihar highway project will strengthen east-west road connectivity in the state. Additionally, the corridor is expected to support faster cargo movement and regional economic activity.
