Cabinet approves 39,290 INR-Crore infrastructure package; ATF Fund, coastal highway among key projects

The Union Cabinet has approved an estimated 39,290 INR-Crore infrastructure projects covering aviation, highways, transport modernization and urban mobility. The approval was announced on Wednesday, June 4. A major share of the allocation will support the creation of an Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) Price Stabilisation Fund and multiple road infrastructure projects across the country.

The 10,000 INR-Crore ATF Price Stabilisation Fund aims to address fuel price volatility and improve cost predictability for airlines. Meanwhile, the 8,301 INR-Crore coastal highway project will connect Rameswaram, Konark and Paradip along India’s eastern coastline. Additionally, the government approved road expansion works in Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar to improve capacity and connectivity. The 39,290 INR-Crore infrastructure package is expected to strengthen transport networks, modernize mobility infrastructure and support long-term connectivity improvements across multiple states.
