EMS Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a sewer infrastructure project. It was awarded by UP Jal Nigam (Urban), Varanasi. The utility has selected the company for sewer network and house connection works across four wards of Varanasi under a turnkey contract. The estimated order value stands at 102.85 INR-Crore.
The scope of work includes surveying, soil investigation, design, and supply of materials required for project execution. Additionally, it will undertake the laying and jointing of sewer networks and provide sewer house connections in Shivpurwa, Tulasipur, Birdopur, and Kajipura wards. These wards form part of 18 identified problematic wards under Nagar Nigam Varanasi. The project carries an execution timeline of 24 months.

Once completed, the Varanasi sewer network project will strengthen urban wastewater infrastructure in the city. The project will also improve sewer connectivity in identified underserved areas and support ongoing urban infrastructure development initiatives in Varanasi.
