Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has approved an estimated 629 INR-Crore proposal to upgrade six key roads in Kutch district into four-lane corridors. The Kutch road upgradation project aims to strengthen connectivity across rural areas and improve access to industrial and commercial hubs. The state government approved the project under its broader road infrastructure development initiative.
The project covers six road stretches with a combined length of 64.2 Km. These include 4.1 Km of the Mundra-Luni Vadala Road, 5.1 Km of the Deshalpar-Siracha Road, 5.5 Km of the Mundra-Zarpara-Kandagara-Dhrab Road, 3.3 Km of the Zarpara village bypass, 4.5 Km of the Kandagara Mota village road, and a 20 Km section of the Mundra-Zarpara-Kandagara Road. Additionally, the project will improve connectivity between Mundra Port and surrounding industrial areas.

Once completed, the Kutch road upgradation project will improve freight movement and reduce travel bottlenecks across the district. The upgraded corridors will support industrial activity, strengthen logistics connectivity, and enhance transportation efficiency in the Mundra region.
