The Union Government has approved an estimated 840.41 INR-Crore for upgrading sections of National Highway-365BB in Andhra Pradesh. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announced the approval. The project covers the Buttaigudem–LND Peta and Pattiseema–Kovvur sections. It will upgrade a combined 45.09 Km stretch of NH-365BB.
The NH-365BB upgrade Andhra Pradesh project will convert the existing highway sections into a two-lane road with paved shoulders. The improved corridor will provide access to the Polavaram Irrigation Project and surrounding rural areas. It will also improve the movement of agricultural produce, including tobacco, sugarcane and palm oil. Additionally, the upgraded highway will improve inter-state connectivity between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The NH-365BB upgrade Andhra Pradesh project will strengthen farm-to-market connectivity across the region. Further, it will improve access to the Polavaram Irrigation Project and nearby areas. The upgraded corridor will also provide smoother access to bathing ghats along the Godavari River. This will support connectivity for pilgrims and visitors during the Godavari Pushkaralu in 2027.
