GAIL plans 3,294 INR-Crore 600 MW solar project in Uttar Pradesh

GAIL (India) Limited has planned a new solar power project in Uttar Pradesh. The solar project will involve an estimated investment of 3,294 INR-Crore and will have a planned capacity of 600 MW. The project is part of the company’s renewable energy expansion strategy.

The proposed facility will be developed to generate solar power at utility scale. The project will be complete in 15 months. It will be executed in EPC mode. It will contribute to clean energy generation and support grid supply in the state. However, specific land area, exact location within Uttar Pradesh, and phasing details have not been disclosed.
