Oyster Renewable Energy and Dalmia Cement will invest an estimated 270 INR-Crore in a hybrid renewable project in Andhra Pradesh. The companies announced the project on Monday, May 18. The facility will support renewable power generation for cement operations.
The proposed project will comprise separate solar and wind power facilities under a hybrid renewable energy model. The wind power component will have a planned capacity of 21.6 MW, while the solar facility will add 10 MWp capacity. Together, the project will supply captive renewable energy to Dalmia Cement’s manufacturing plant in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh.

The scope of work includes development, engineering, procurement and integration of the solar and wind assets. Additionally, the project will support industrial decarbonisation and help reduce dependence on conventional power sources. Once operational, the Andhra Pradesh hybrid renewable project is will strengthen renewable energy adoption in the cement sector.
