Odisha CM Majhi lays foundation for 28K INR-Crore projects in Ganjam

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi laid the foundation stone for 12 industrial and infrastructure projects worth an estimated 28,084 INR-Crore in Ganjam on Thursday, June 5. These projects are expected to create 15,455 jobs and boost the region’s industrial ecosystem.

The projects span green energy, advanced manufacturing, logistics, agro-processing, and infrastructure sectors. Furthermore, these are located across TATA Steel SEZ, Gopalpur, Chhatrapur, Buguda, and Barapalli areas. Major investments include:

Logistics & Industrial Expansion

In the logistics sector, Geo Impex and Logistics Private Limited will establish a multi-modal logistics park in Chatrapur with an estimated investment of 207 INR-Crore. Additionally, Tarangini Distilleries Private Limited will set up a bio-ethanol project in Buguda with 149 INR-Crore investment.

Meanwhile, Crochet Industries will invest 18 INR-Crore in an eco-resort in Gopalpur. JSR Greenex and Linox Ortho Surgical Private Limited will support e-waste recycling and medical device manufacturing in Barapalli. These companies will bring a combined investment of 5.5 INR-Crore.

The Tata Steel Industrial Park and IDCO’s utility corridor will further strengthen Ganjam’s industrial landscape, ensuring long-term economic growth. With these projects in Ganjam, Odisha moves closer to becoming a major industrial hub, aligning with the Viksit Bharat vision.
