Sadhana Samavesha: Development works worth 2,578 INR-Crore launched in Mysuru

The Karnataka government has launched development works worth an estimated 2,578 INR-Crore in Mysuru during the Sadhana Samavesha convention. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated 18 projects and laid foundation stones for 56 others, spanning 24 departments.

Key highlights include:

  • A 120 INR-Crore KSRTC bus terminal at Bannimantap, designed like the Mysuru Palace.
  • A 192.99 INR-Crore Unity Mall at the Exhibition Grounds to showcase GI-tagged products. The State government will provide land, while Karnataka Small Industries Development Corporation Limited will implement the project.
  • 408.95 NR-Crore for laying underground power cables by CESC (Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited).
  • 393.85 INR-Crore for white-topping major roads across Mysuru.
  • 502.41 INR-Crore for hostels in five constituencies. These include Krishnaraja, Chamaraja, Narasimharaja, Chamundeshwari, and Nanjangud.
  • Four projects under the Swachh Bharat Mission-2, worth nearly 380.84 INR-Crore for civic and sanitation upgrades. These include one project for implementing civic works, and two other projects related to water distribution and underground drainage (UGD).
  • 419.86 INR-Crore for water resource projects in rural taluks. The Department of Water Resources has taken up these projects.
