In a major infrastructure boost, the central government has sanctioned the 325 INR-Crore NH-248A highway project. This highway will connect Nuh in South Haryana to Ferozepur Jhirka and Alwar in Rajasthan.

The proposed NH-248A highway project will span approximately 45 Km. This 4-lane corridor will feature nine flyovers, six underpasses, and bypasses at Malab and Bhadas. The project aims to enhance regional connectivity and road safety. Initially proposed in 2019 with a budget of 186 INR-Crore, the plan was shelved due to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway alignment. Now revived with increased funding, the NH-248A highway project reflects renewed commitment to regional development.

The highway, notorious for over 2,500 fatalities in the past 12 years, has long been dubbed the “bloody highway.” The new development will transform this perilous stretch into a safer, more efficient transport route. The project has a two-year completion target and is part of National Highway 248-A.
