The Telangana Government has approved an estimated 4,030 INR-Crore Hyderabad southern corridor project. The upcoming corridor will link the Raviryal Interchange on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) with the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR) near Amangal.

The 41.5 Km greenfield radial road will be built in two phases and designed as a 3+3 lane expressway, expandable to 4+4 lanes. Phase-1 of the Hyderabad southern corridor spans 19.2 Km from Raviryal to Meerkhanpet. This phase has 1,665 INR-Crore allocated for construction and 246 INR-Crore for land acquisition. Meanwhile, Phase-2 covers 22.3 Km from Meerkhanpet to Amangal, costing 2,365 INR-Crore for works. Moreover, 345 INR-Crore has been allotted for land acquisition. In total, approximately 1,003.61 Acres will be acquired, including forest and industrial land.

Rithwik Projects Pvt Ltd won Phase-1 with a bid 3.93% above ECV, while Larsen & Toubro Ltd secured Phase-2 with a 4.2% premium. The Hyderabad southern corridor will feature a central median reserved for future metro or railway lines, green buffers, cycle tracks, and pedestrian paths. Furthermore, its alignment avoids densely populated zones, reducing displacement and enabling faster execution. The corridor further aligns with Hyderabad Metro Phase 2-B, ensuring seamless multimodal connectivity from RGIA to Bharath Future City.
