Kaynes Circuits India is set to establish an estimated 4,995 INR-Crore components manufacturing unit in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. This will be Tamil Nadu’s first large-scale PCB manufacturing investment.
The proposed facility will produce 74-layer PCBs, HDI PCBs, flexible PCBs, high-performance laminates, camera modules, and wire harness assemblies. Moreover, it supports the state’s plan to build a new electronics cluster in Thoothukudi, away from traditional hubs like Sriperumbudur and Hosur. The Kaynes Tamil Nadu unit is expected to create nearly 4,700 jobs across Thoothukudi and nearby districts.

Strategically located near the upcoming VinFast EV plant, the Kaynes Tamil Nadu facility will anchor a broader ecosystem for electronics and automotive manufacturing. It also aligns with India’s 22,919 INR-Crore electronics component manufacturing scheme, aimed at boosting domestic production of critical components.
