Amber Enterprises to invest 4,200 INR-Crore in PCB Manufacturing Facilities across Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh

Amber Enterprises India Ltd recently announced an estimated 4,200 INR-Crore investment to establish advanced PCB manufacturing facilities. These upcoming facilities will be located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. The move marks a strategic pivot from air-conditioner components to high-tech electronics.

The Hosur unit, led by subsidiary Ascent Circuits, will focus on multi-layer PCBs. This facility will be developed with an investment of 990 INR-Crore. Meanwhile, the Jewar facility will be developed through a joint venture with Korea Circuits, targeting high-density interface PCBs. This facility will be developed with a phased investment of 3,200 INR-Crore. Moreover, to fund the expansion, Amber plans to raise 2,500 INR-Crore via Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), with shareholder approval expected at its upcoming AGM.

The Amber Enterprises PCB manufacturing facilities will also support vertical integration, supplying PCBs for Amber’s own AC controllers and other components. Furthermore, these represent a bold leap into India’s electronics future, aligning with the push for self-reliance under the Electronics Manufacturing Component Scheme.
