The Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has received approval for the “Taj Bandstand Hotel” in Mumbai. The company, part of the Tata Group, has received the initial commencement certificate from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to begin work. The total project cost is estimated at 2,500 INR-Crore, including 930 INR-Crore for acquiring the sea-facing plot.
IHCL will invest 1,570 INR-Crore to develop the luxury property. It will feature 330 rooms and 85 apartments. Additionally, Taj Bandstand Hotel will sprawl an anticipated 2 Acres plot directly opposite its flagship Taj Lands End. Operations are scheduled to begin in 2029.
