The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has floated tenders worth 2,200 INR crore for two major bridges in the western suburbs and a new traffic arm of the upcoming Mumbai Coastal Road Project. These projects aim to improve connectivity and reduce congestion in the region.
The first project will connect Malad (West) with Lagoon Road near Andheri, passing over a mangrove patch and the Poisar River. It will start behind Infinity Mall and extend to Andheri Back Road. Meanwhile, the second bridge will link MDP Road with Ryan International School at Kandivali East. The BMC has not yet specified the exact start and end dates for these projects.
