Infopark, GCDA plan to set up integrated AI town by 2030

Kerala is set to get its first AI township, as Infopark and the Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) join hands to build a world-class integrated township. The Phase III campus will attract an investment of 25,000 INR-Crore. The project will create 2 Lakh direct jobs and over 4 Lakh indirect jobs, boosting the state’s growth as a knowledge economy.

The project will be an anticipated 300 Acres in Kizhakkambalam panchayat, with land pooling and approvals expected to begin soon. The detailed master plan, covering infrastructure and residential planning, will be ready within a year. The township is expected to be completed by 2030. GCDA will manage the land process, while Infopark will develop the infrastructure and attract IT and tech companies to the new AI township in Kerala.

The AI township in Kerala will feature homes, schools, hospitals, shopping areas, sports complexes, and lakes. Additionally, the township will use AI for energy, water, waste management, traffic, and city services. This will make it a smart, sustainable, and inclusive urban space. Officials describe it as an ‘urban city brain’ that will improve daily life. The township will set a benchmark for smart cities in India.
