The New Delhi Government has cleared seven projects worth an estimated 5,532 INR-Crore under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme. These projects aim to boost domestic production and are expected to cut India’s import bill by nearly 20,000 INR-Crore.

The approved projects include manufacturing units for multi-layer PCBs, camera modules, copper laminates, and polypropylene films used in capacitors. The Kaynes Group received approval for four projects worth 3,280 INR-Crore, while Syrma Group, Ascent Circuits of Amber Group, and SRF Limited each bagged one project. Together, these units will meet about 27% of India’s PCB demand and 15% of its camera module needs, helping reduce import dependence.
