Telangana unveils 60,799 INR-Crore road infrastructure drive

The Telangana Government has launched an ambitious plan to improve road infrastructure across the state. The total estimated investment for this initiative is 60,799 INR-Crore. Of this, 10,400 INR -Crore has been set aside to widen the Hyderabad–Vijayawada highway into an eight-lane corridor. Additionally, 36,000 INR-Crore will be used for the Regional Ring Road (RRR) project, which is expected to enhance intercity connectivity greatly.

The plan includes 11,399 INR-Crore for the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road projects. The administration has allocated another 8,000 INR-Crore to develop a 52 Km stretch of the Mannanur–Srisailam elevated corridor. It has also reserved 20,000 INR-Crore for building the Future City – Amaravati – Bandaru Port Greenfield Highway. The project will also construct new roads in villages that currently lack proper access and upgrade single-lane routes to double-lane roads. The government will soon release tenders for the HAM projects to ensure quick and efficient implementation.
