The Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) has invited e-bids to develop a world-class Vadaj multi-modal transport hub, marking a significant step in enhancing urban mobility in the city. With an estimated cost of 248.87 INR-Crore, the project will follow the Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Maintain, and Transfer (DBFOMT) model and operate under a 90-year authorization period.
The hub will cover approximately 5,564 SqM at Akhbarnagar and include a G+18 building with corporate offices, retail outlets, food courts, gaming zones, a multiplex, and a business hub. Moreover, it will offer EV charging stations for buses and private vehicles, along with two-level basement parking for more than 500 vehicles. A 252 Meters foot-over bridge will connect the hub directly to the Metro station. The project will be built in two phases. The first phase will finish in 24 months, while the full development will be completed in 48 months.

This upcoming Vadaj multi-modal transport hub will offer integrated bus services, commercial spaces, green zones, and smooth metro connectivity. It will improve daily travel and create a modern public space for commuters. The new hub will boost connectivity, increase convenience, and build a vibrant mobility center in Ahmedabad. With sustainable design, smart amenities, and planned infrastructure, the development will transform Akhbarnagar into a future-ready urban landmark. It will also support the city’s long-term growth.
