UFlex to invest over 700 INR-Crore to expand packaging film capacity in Karnataka

UFlex Ltd will invest over 700 INR-Crore to expand its packaging film capacity in Karnataka. The expansion will take place at the company’s Dharwad facility, where 54,000 MTPA of new capacity will be added to meet growing demand. Once completed, UFlex’s global production capacity will rise from 636,160 MTPA to 690,160 MTPA, strengthening supply and future growth.

Meanwhile, UFlex continues to strengthen its portfolio through key expansions across multiple regions. The company recently enhanced its aseptic packaging capacity at the Sanand plant in Gujarat, increasing output from 7 US$-Billion packs to 12 US$-Billion packs annually. In addition, three major international projects are progressing. These include a 12 US$-Billion pack aseptic plant in Egypt, an 80 Million WPP bags facility in Mexico, and a 40,000 MTPA recycling plant in Noida. These developments will create strong long-term value and support future demand.

Looking ahead, UFlex expects these new capacities to begin contributing from FY27. Furthermore, the full operational impact is planned for FY28, supporting long-term growth. The company sees the Packaging Film Karnataka Expansion as a key driver in its next phase of growth.
