SKF India to invest 653 INR-Crore in new Pune manufacturing plant

SKF India (Industrial) Limited announced an estimated 653 INR-Crore investment to build a new manufacturing facility in Pune. It aims to expand its advanced production capabilities in India. The plant will strengthen local manufacturing and better support key sectors including energy and railways.

SKF India will design the Pune facility to integrate digitalisation, automation, and sustainability features. Subsequently, the company plans to commission the plant by 2030 as part of its long-term growth strategy in the country. Additionally, the new plant will deepen SKF India’s footprint in advanced manufacturing and localisation.

The facility will improve response times to customers and strengthen supply chain resilience. Additionally, it will enhance production efficiency across segments like metals, mining, and other heavy industries. The project reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting India’s industrial ecosystem as demand for digital-ready, sustainable manufacturing grows.
