The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has awarded a 775.27 INR-Crore DDA staff quarters redevelopment mandate to NBCC (India) Ltd. The projects are located in New Delhi. NBCC will execute the redevelopment under a Project Management Consultancy model. NBCC disclosed the award through a regulatory filing.
The mandate covers two sites. The Old Rajinder Nagar project carries an investment of 437.79 INR-Crore. The Safdarjung Development Area project carries an investment of 337.48 INR-Crore. The total mandate stands at 775.27 INR-Crore, excluding GST. DDA awarded both contracts in the ordinary course of business.

Meanwhile, at Safdarjung Development Area, the project will redevelop 152 dwelling units. The proposed Built-up Area is about 0.71 Million-SqFt. However, the authority will finalise the Built-up Area after detailed surveys and DPR approvals.
Further, the DDA staff quarters redevelopment mandate will follow a self-sustainable model. Accordingly, NBCC will monetise part of the developed Built-up Area to fund construction. Subsequently, it will hand over the remaining inventory for staff accommodation. However, the filing does not specify timelines or phasing details. Overall, the mandate reinforces structured public housing redevelopment in New Delhi.
