Bihar launches 542 INR-Crore tunnel project linking two museums in Patna

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has launched the Patna museum tunnel project with an estimated cost of 542 INR-Crore. Construction of the underground tunnel began on Sunday, March 8, to connect the Bihar Museum and the Patna Museum. The project aims to improve accessibility and visitor movement between the two cultural institutions.

The underground passage will create a direct pedestrian link between the two museums, enabling visitors to move easily between the sites without crossing busy roads. Construction will involve advanced tunneling methods and supporting infrastructure near Hartali Mor along Nehru Path. Authorities also plan to develop parking areas and visitor facilities around the museum complex as part of the broader infrastructure upgrade.
