Patel Engineering Ltd has secured a contract worth an estimated 910 INR-Crore for the Renukaji Dam project from Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (HPPCL). The company received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) on Thursday, March 19. The project is located in Sirmaur district, Himachal Pradesh.
The scope includes construction of three diversion tunnels, each with a diameter of 9.5 M and lengths ranging from 1.3 Km to 1.6 Km. The project will also include inlet and outlet structures and around 6 Km of approach and access roads. Additionally, the contractor will install hydro-mechanical systems and monitoring infrastructure to regulate water flow and ensure safety. The project is scheduled for completion within 30 months.

Once completed, the Renukaji Dam project will strengthen water infrastructure in the region. It will also support long-term water storage and hydropower development. Additionally, the project will enhance infrastructure capacity in Himachal Pradesh.
