NHAI awards 369 INR-Crore Azamgarh South-East bypass project

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded the Azamgarh South-East Bypass project at an estimated cost of 368.85 INR-Crore on Monday, March 23. The authority issued a Letter of Award to Kaluwala Construction Private Limited for execution under the EPC mode. The project will be developed in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

The project involves construction of a 15 Km four-lane bypass connecting Rani-Ka-Sarai village to the Purvanchal Expressway. It will form part of a continuous ring road around the city. The scope includes one flyover, one railway overbridge, two interchanges, and two vehicular underpasses. Additionally, it will include eight light vehicular underpasses and three minor bridges. The project will also develop service roads of 11.6 Km and 9 Km on both sides, along with a 7.5 Km slip road.

Once completed, the Azamgarh South-East Bypass project will improve traffic movement and reduce congestion within the city. It will also enhance regional connectivity and support faster logistics movement across eastern Uttar Pradesh.
