NBCC lays foundation stone for new IIFT campus in New Delhi

NBCC (India) Limited laid the foundation stone for the IIFT campus project at Maidangarhi, New Delhi, on Tuesday, May 5. The project carries a sanctioned cost of around 350 INR-Crore. NBCC is executing the development on a design, engineering, procurement and construction basis for Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.

The campus will be developed on an anticipated 7.55 Acres in South Delhi near Chhatarpur. It will have a built-up area of nearly 54,000 SqM. The project will include academic, residential and institutional facilities. The Academic Block will feature smart classrooms, lecture halls, conference rooms, faculty offices and a modern library. Additionally, the campus will include a 1,000-seat auditorium, hostel facilities for more than 600 students, faculty housing units and two-level basement parking for over 400 vehicles. The development will also incorporate LED lighting, solar photovoltaic systems, advanced HVAC infrastructure, rainwater harvesting, water recycling systems and fire safety infrastructure.

Once completed, the IIFT campus Delhi project will expand academic infrastructure for the institute in the national capital. It will also strengthen institutional and educational infrastructure development in South Delhi.
