The Delhi Government has cleared the MB Road elevated corridor project in South Delhi. The Expenditure Finance Committee approved the project at an estimated cost of 1,471 INR-Crore in January 2026. Authorities will develop the corridor along the Mehrauli–Badarpur (MB) Road stretch from Saket G-Block to Pul Prahladpur. They aim to reduce congestion on one of the city’s busiest arterial routes.

The project involves the construction of a 6-lane elevated road spanning about 5 Km. It will also follow a double-decker design, with metro rail operations planned on the upper deck and vehicular traffic on the lower deck. The scope also includes two underpasses and associated road infrastructure. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will execute the corridor. The agency will implement the development in phases and target completion by December 2027.
