Rajasthan Govt nods 5,398 INR-Crore funding push for expressways and highway upgrades

The Rajasthan Government has approved infrastructure funding proposals worth more than 5,398 INR-Crore for expressway development, highway expansion and road modernisation projects across the state. Authorities cleared the proposals during the 131st board meeting of the Rajasthan State Road Development and Construction Corporation.

The Rajasthan expressway funding package includes an estimated 4,938 INR-Crore loan proposal for land acquisition linked to the Kotputli–Kishangarh corridor and the Beawar–Bharatpur expressway projects. Additionally, the board approved a separate 460 INR-Crore loan proposal for upgrading the Nasirabad–Sarwar–Kekri–Deoli stretch of State Highway-26. The highway project will widen the existing road from 2 lanes to 4 lanes. It will also include construction of the long-pending Kekri bypass. Once implemented, the Rajasthan expressway funding plan is expected to strengthen freight movement and regional connectivity across key transport corridors. The projects will also support industrial and commercial activity along the proposed routes while improving highway infrastructure in the state.
