The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has commenced construction of the 12.377 Km Inderlok–Indraprastha Metro corridor in Delhi. The project forms part of Delhi Metro’s Phase IV expansion. The fully underground corridor will comprise 10 stations. It will also connect seven metro lines across the network.
The Inderlok–Indraprastha Metro corridor will provide interchanges with the Red Line and Green Line at Inderlok, the Magenta Line at Nabi Karim, the Yellow Line and Airport Express Line at New Delhi, the Violet Line at Delhi Gate, and the Blue Line at Indraprastha. Additionally, the extension will increase the Magenta Line’s total length to nearly 89 Km, making it the longest corridor in the Delhi Metro network. The line will operate with driverless metro trains. Meanwhile, DMRC has started the first construction activity at the proposed Sarai Rohilla Metro station by building the diaphragm wall for the underground station.
