Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for the estimated 405 INR-Crore project from East Coast Railway. The RVNL East Coast Railway project includes a range of civil and railway infrastructure works, including construction of the roadbed and bridges, track laying, supply of blast, along with buildings and road under bridges.
The project is connected to the construction of a third railway line on the Nergundi-Barang and Khurda Road-Vizianagaram stretches. Together, the two stretches span across nearly 385 Km. The first stretch covers 22 Km between Nergundi and Barang. Meanwhile, the other covers 363 Km between Khurda Road and Vizianagaram

The RVNL East Coast railway project marks a significant expansion of railway infrastructure across Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. The 385 Km third-line development will involve extensive civil and railway works, including track infrastructure, bridges, road under bridges and related facilities.
