West Bengal Housing Board (WBHB) will construct four residential projects in Kolkata and Siliguri. The state government will hand over residential plots at Binnaguri and Jalpaiguri in the coming years. This project is anticipated to support 3,500 families.
It is a mega housing project with an anticipated area of 22 Acres located in Thakurpukur. In this project, 12 G+4 residential buildings, comprising 48 flats in total in Action Area-I, New Town and revive the stalled Sunray Housing project over 9.4 Acres in Action Area-II in New Town. Thakurpukur project will be a mix of LIG, MIG and HIG flats, while two projects in New Town will be developed entirely for HIG buyers.

The West Bengal government will hand over the first phase of Thakurpukur project by December 2028, further the completion of 48 flats in New Town is set for March 2028.
