Bhagwati gets MeitY nod for 1,015 INR-Crore display, precision moulding facility

Bhagwati Products Limited, an arm of Micromax Informatics, has received approval from the Ministry of Electronics and IT to invest an estimated 1,015 INR-Crore in display manufacturing and precision moulding. The company confirmed that 450 INR-Crore will go into display manufacturing and 565 INR-Crore into precision moulding. Moreover, the projects will be developed under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme.

The display manufacturing project will be executed through TXD India Technology at its Bawal, Rewari facility in Haryana. The Bhagwati facility will initially produce 1.5 Million mobile phone displays per month. The company plans to further scale up to 3–4 Million and later expand into automotive displays. Production is expected to begin within a quarter.

Meanwhile, the precision moulding project will be developed at the Bhagwati facility in Greater Noida. The company aims to build in-house capabilities as it expands its component manufacturing portfolio. Both projects are scheduled to commence this year and will generate significant employment opportunities.
