Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has laid the foundation stone for a G+29 residential tower in Worli, Mumbai. Inspector General Bhisham Sharma, Commander, Coast Guard Region (West), laid the foundation stone for the project. The tower will come up at the Indian Coast Guard Officers Residential Area (CORA). The project will replace previously demolished residential structures. The development carries an estimated cost of 200–300 INR-Crore.
The proposed Indian Coast Guard residential tower will come up on a plot measuring 2,670.93 SqM. The high-rise will include 40 residential flats across Type IV, V and VI categories. It will also provide married accommodation and housing quarters for ICG personnel. Additionally, the project will include an integrated Officers’ Mess with a Wardroom, Dining Hall, Gymnasium and Multipurpose Hall. The development will also provide dedicated multi-level parking for 91 vehicles. The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) will execute the project.

The Indian Coast Guard residential tower will address housing requirements for officers and their families stationed in Mumbai. Meanwhile, the project will replace the earlier 10-storey residential quarters at the same site. The project had faced administrative and regulatory delays after its initial sanction in February 2020. Further, the project received the Commencement Certificate on August 3 following statutory approvals and re-tendering.
