The Odisha Government has approved 14 industrial projects with a combined investment of 2,780.10 INR-Crore. The projects were approved during the 149th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) in Bhubaneswar. The approved projects span 10 districts and could create 14,104 jobs. The Odisha industrial investment proposals cover food processing, textiles, chemicals, medical devices, ESDM, steel, and infrastructure.
The approved projects include a 500 INR-Crore snacks and baked goods manufacturing unit by Haldiram Snacks Food in Khordha and Cuttack. Tiwana Nutrition Global will invest 140 INR-Crore in a cattle feed facility. Premium Chick Feeds will invest 105.38 INR-Crore across Khordha, Cuttack, and Nayagad. In textiles, Sahana Clothing Company will invest 251.45 INR-Crore in a knitted garment unit in Dhenkanal. Pratima Agro Spinning Mill will invest 125 INR-Crore in a textile processing unit in Balangir.
Meanwhile, Prasol Chemicals will invest 450 INR-Crore in a phosphorous-based derivatives plant in Ganjam. New Generation Manufacturing will invest 80 INR-Crore in a coal tar distillation facility in Sundargarh. Haasvan Rasayan will invest 55 INR-Crore in a bulk drug intermediates unit in Nuapada. Additionally, Sastasundar Healthbuddy will invest 56 INR-Crore in a medical device facility in Khordha. Syrma SGS Technology will invest 300 INR-Crore in a PCB assembly and box-build manufacturing plant in Khordha.

Further, the government has issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) to appoint a technical consultant. The consultant will prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Dugarajapatnam port and shipbuilding cluster. Officials will evaluate the proposals on August 24. The selected firm will prepare infrastructure estimates and a master plan. The plan will include the shipyard layout for the port and shipbuilding cluster. The proposed development will add shipbuilding and ship repair infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.
