Odisha State Housing Board plans 4 housing projects with 6,877 residential units

The Odisha State Housing Board (OSHB) has proposed four new affordable housing projects under its FY 2026-27 expansion plan. Announced during a review meeting chaired by the Housing and Urban Development Department, the Odisha affordable housing projects are planned across Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. Collectively, the developments will create nearly 6,877 residential units.

The proposed portfolio includes the Suango PPP housing project, spread across an anticipated 12.9 Acres, with 2,867 dwelling units, including 1,034 affordable housing units. The Ranasinghpur EPC housing project will be developed over an anticipated 5.78 Acres with an estimated investment of 397 INR-Crore and will create 1,262 housing units. The Patrapada housing project, planned across anticipated 11.5 Acres through the e-bidding mode. It will deliver 2,510 dwelling units, including 820 affordable units. Additionally, the Basanti Colony residential apartment project in Rourkela will comprise 238 MIG and HIG apartments. The Suango project to generate a minimum revenue of 210 INR-Crore for the board.

Once completed, the Odisha affordable housing projects will expand the state’s organized residential inventory. It will also increase the supply of affordable housing units in key urban centers. The developments will support planned urban growth while strengthening housing infrastructure across Odisha.
