Spark Minda greenfield plants will be developed in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region of Uttar Pradesh with an investment of 1,166 INR-Crore. The two facilities will come up in Sectors 10 and 24 of YEIDA and will create around 6,440 jobs. The projects were inaugurated through groundbreaking ceremonies attended virtually by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The facilities will manufacture ignition switch-cum-security locks, mechatronic components, and related automotive connection systems. The development will expand Spark Minda’s manufacturing capabilities in the automotive component sector. The company already operates manufacturing facilities across Noida and Greater Noida for security systems, die-cast components, and wiring harnesses. Spark Minda is also planning a joint venture plant with Kyokuto Seiki Co. Ltd. in Noida to manufacture advanced automotive switches.
