The Uttar Pradesh cabinet approved various infrastructure and industrial projects worth an estimated 24,000 INR-Crore. These include two major expressway projects and a manufacturing and logistics cluster in Sultanpur. The government also cleared incentives for 11 large industrial projects across the state having a combined proposed investment of more than 5,500 INR-Crore.
In the infrastructure segment, Ganga Expressway to Haridwar is the largest investment proposal, with an estimated amount of 10,761 INR-Crore; it will connect Uttar Pradesh with Haridwar through a six lane greenfield expressway, with provision for expansion to eight lanes in future.
Moreover, the government approved Jhansi Link Expressway worth an estimated 7,968 INR-Crore, strengthening the connectivity to Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority and the defense corridor around the region. The Cabinet also approved 272 INR-Crore for infrastructure development at the Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster (IMLC) in Sultanpur.
