Nashik has secured two major industrial projects worth 5,561 INR-Crore, strengthening its position as a vibrant manufacturing hub in Maharashtra. These investments reflect the growing confidence of industries in the region’s infrastructure and skilled workforce.
The first investment comes from Graphite India Ltd, which will set up a 4,761 INR-Crore facility in Gonde to produce synthetic graphite anode materials used in lithium-ion batteries, creating around 1,166 jobs. Alongside this, Virtuoso Optoelectronics Pvt Ltd (VOPL) will invest 800 INR-Crore in Dindori to manufacture electronic products and compressor motors, generating 500 jobs.

These projects, announced by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on social media, are positioned to reinforce Nashik’s industrial growth trajectory, particularly supporting the rapidly expanding electric vehicle (EV) value chain. Graphite India noted that its investment is contingent upon final regulatory approvals.
