The Central Empowered Committee has granted final tree-related clearance for completing the Barapullah corridor phase-III. Estimated at 1,330 INR-Crore, the project is slated for completion within a year.

Barapullah Corridor Phase-III extends the corridor from Sarai Kale Khan to Mayur Vihar Phase I. The 3.5 Km elevated stretch adopts a pier-supported design with an extra-dosed bridge, reducing pier count in the Yamuna’s flow zone. Additionally, it features three lanes in each direction, eight loops, dedicated cycle tracks, and wide footpaths.

With the final approval secured, PWD is set to accelerate pending works, including loops, carriageways, and non-motorised tracks. Once complete, Barapullah Corridor Phase-III will ease city traffic, improve last-mile connectivity, and provide safer, greener options for daily commuters.
