The Nariman Point to Mira Bhayander commute is set to become faster. Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik announced the construction of the Dahisar-Bhayander highway. Managed by L.E.T. Company and funded by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, the project is valued at an estimated 3,000 INR-Crore.
Upon completion, the Nariman Point to Mira Bhaander will cut travel time to just 30 minutes. Furthermore, the highway will be built on an anticipated 53.17 Acres. Recently, the salt land was transferred from the Union Salt Commissioner to the Maharashtra Government on a 99-year lease. The 60 Meter-wide coastal route will extend from Dahisar to Bhayander and further connect to Vasai and Virar. Construction is expected to be completed within three years.

As a result, the highway will turn Mira-Bhayander into a major suburb with a direct route to South Mumbai. It will further ease traffic, provide an alternative for daily commuters, and boost regional growth. By improving the coastal alignment and resolving earlier challenges, the Nariman Point to Mira Bhayander highway strengthens Mumbai’s transport infrastructure.
