Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several projects worth 1,220 INR-Crore at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. The event took place on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, celebrated on the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Spread across the Ekta Nagar region, these projects aim to strengthen local infrastructure and promote sustainable tourism. The foundation stones were also laid for several key initiatives, including the Museum of Royal Kingdoms of India costing 367.25 INR-Crore, a Visitor Center worth 140.45 INR-Crore, and the Veer Balak Udyan valued at 90.46 INR-Crore. Furthermore, developments such as the Travelator Extension, Sports Complex, 24 Meter-wide Ekta Nagar Colony Road, Jetty Development, CISF Barracks, and the Rain Forest project will enhance accessibility and convenience for both visitors and residents

The newly launched developments focus on enhancing connectivity and visitor comfort. Major works include the Birsa Munda Bhavan valued at 303 INR-Crore, GSEC and SSNNL quarters costing 56.33 INR-Crore, and the Hospitality District (Phase-1) developed for 54.65 INR-Crore.
With these initiatives, Ekta Nagar is rapidly evolving into a world-class cultural and tourism destination. Moreover, these Gujarat projects reflect the government’s vision of blending heritage with modern development. They aim to create new jobs and drive regional growth.
