Construction has officially begun on the Chinchbhuvan–Mihan stretch of the Nagpur–Hyderabad National Highway. The Public Works Department (PWD) has started initial development under an estimated investment of 619.55 INR-Crore. A Bhopal-based contractor has also received the 332 INR-Crore work order for Phase 1. With this upgrade, the Chinchbhuvan-Mihan flyover project is set to ease traffic at one of Nagpur’s key entry and exit points.
The new six-lane flyover will stretch 2.69 Km and include service roads to improve traffic flow. The project has a 24 month completion timeline. PWD has also requested clearance to remove 415 trees after a detailed survey. Additionally, a 3.05 Km stretch near the Mihan Interchange on NH-44 will be widened to six lanes to ensure smooth connectivity.
