Andhra CM Naidu approves 19,000 INR-Crore investments from 14 companies

Amaravati hosted the 14th State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting on Tuesday, January 6. The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, cleared investment proposals worth over 19,000 INR-Crore, with the potential to generate nearly 12,000 jobs.

In total, the SIPB approved 19,391 INR-Crore from 14 companies across the tourism, industry, food processing, and fuel sectors. Major proposals included Tata Power’s 6,675 INR-Crore project in Nellore, Shirdi Sai Electricals’ 5,571 INR-Crore investment in Kadapa, and Websol Renewable’s 3,538 INR-Crore plan. These investments further highlight the growing scale of Andhra Pradesh.

During the meeting, Naidu directed officials to prepare a comprehensive master plan for beach tourism. He noted that Suryalanka Beach in the Bapatla district is among the safest in the state and called for branding Suryalanka Beach Resorts. Moreover, he proposed developing a 15 Km-long clean beachfront.

The CM also suggested developing small islands near Sullurpeta. He drew parallels with Maldives-style island tourism to attract global visitors. These initiatives are expected to strengthen tourism as part of the wider Andhra investments strategy. Naidu further stressed the need to attract more food processing units to the Tirupati region. He directed officials to hold meetings with major food processing companies. Consequently, these initiatives will boost Andhra Pradesh’s industrial growth.
