Essar Future Energy Limited has announced plans to set up a large-scale bio-fuel project in Gujarat’s Devbhumi Dwarka district. The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Government during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Rajkot.
The Essar bio-fuel project in Gujarat involves an estimated investment of 5,100 INR-Crore. It is expected to generate around 350 direct jobs, with operations targeted to begin by 2029. Moreover, the project will start with a feedstock processing capacity of 1 Million Tonnes per Annum (MTPA).

Developed as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) unit, the Essar bio-fuel project in Gujarat will focus on decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors. Consequently, it will provide clean fuel solutions for aviation, shipping, and road transport. Moreover, the project will strengthen the state’s bio-energy ecosystem.
