The Hyderabad Government has approved administrative sanctions worth an estimated 2,254 INR-Crore for major road infrastructure projects. These projects will be implemented through the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL). The investment aims to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity across the city’s high-growth corridors.

Trumpet Interchange at Budvel

The government has sanctioned an estimated 488 INR-Crore for the Trumpet Interchange at Budvel. This project will develop a trumpet interchange at Km 143, connecting Radial Road-2 with the ORR. Moreover, it will integrate Budvel Layout and upgrade the Rajendranagar interchange. The project will further improve traffic movement between ORR-Gachibowli, ORR-Shamshabad, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, and Budvel.

Elevated Corridor-III: ICCC to Shilpa Layout

The government has introduced Elevated Corridor-III from Banjara Hills ICCC to Shilpa Layout at an estimated cost of 1,656 INR-Crore. Additionally, the corridor will provide direct, signal-free connectivity to the ORR at Gachibowli. It will be executed in two phases:

  • Phase I: Filmnagar to Shilpa Layout (5 Km)
  • Phase II: ICCC Tower to Hakimpet Kunta (4 Km)

The corridor will also feature four- and six-lane sections, at-grade and elevated stretches, and six entry and exit points.

Pipeline Road Widening: MGIT to Manikonda

HGCL will widen the Pipeline Road from MGIT to Manikonda at 110 INR-Crore. Besides, the 3.57 Km project will ease congestion in Manikonda, Gandipet, Kokapet, Puppalguda, and Narsingi. It will add a six-lane carriageway, heritage channel, drain-cum-footpaths, culverts, minor bridges, junction improvements, and landscaping.
