The Telangana Government has sanctioned an estimated 110 INR-Crore for the development of the Pipeline Road Project. This infrastructure project will cover a 3.57 Km stretch from Shankarpally Road near MGIT in Gandipet to Manikonda. The initiative will further ease traffic congestion in Kokapet, Manikonda, Gandipet, Puppalguda, Narsingi, and surrounding areas.
The proposed project includes a 6-lane carriageway with a 10 Meter median. Moreover, it will accommodate a heritage channel, drain-cum-footpaths on either side, culverts, minor bridges, junction improvements, and landscaping works. Meanwhile, tenders will be floated shortly on the e-procurement platform. The Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), a wing of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), will execute this project. HGCL will also construct missing link roads to strengthen the network.

The Telangana Pipeline Road Project aims to reduce commute time and improve mobility in Alkapur Township, Manikonda, Neknampur, and nearby areas. Furthermore, both roads will be developed as 80 Ft-wide arterial routes, serving as alternatives to existing congested roads. Officials confirmed that link road works, estimated at 3.27 INR-Crore, will be completed within six months. Besides, these arterial roads will provide smoother traffic flow and support planned urban growth.
