Mahindra to build its biggest auto plant in Maharashtra with 15,000 INR-Crore investment

Mahindra has announced an estimated 15,000 INR-Crore investment to set up its largest integrated automobile and tractor manufacturing facility in Maharashtra. This large-scale project will involve the acquisition of approximately 2,000 Acres of land and will be executed over 10 years. 

The upcoming plant in Nagpur will begin production in 2028, marking one of the company’s most significant industrial investments. Furthermore, this project will span three locations. The main manufacturing unit will be built on 1,500 Acres in Vidarbha, while 150 Acres of supplier park will be developed in Sambhajinagar.

Additionally, Mahindra plans on acquiring land in the Igatpuri–Nashik region of Maharashtra to expand engine production and advanced technology operations. Once operational, the company will achieve an annual capacity of over 5 lakh vehicles and 1 lakh tractors. The facility will also support ICE, EV, and future technologies for domestic and global markets. Overall, this investment strengthens Maharashtra’s position as a leading automotive and manufacturing hub.
