The Delhi Government has outlined new tunnel, elevated road, and bypass projects worth an estimated 8,500 INR-Crore. These projects are a part of its wider push to reduce traffic congestion in the capital.
One of the key projects is the 5 Km tunnel from Shiv Murti in Mahipalpur to Manesar, approved for an estimated 3,500 INR-Crore. The tunnel will improve connectivity between Delhi, Gurugram, and Manesar. Another major project is the AIIMS to Mahipalpur elevated road, estimated at 5,000 INR-Crore. This corridor has received approval and has entered the early stages of development. Additionally, a 41 Km connectivity from Tronica City to Ghaziabad and Noida has been announced, allowing traffic from Dehradun to reach Noida directly.

The Ashram-Badarpur (Mathura Road) stretch will be redeveloped with underpasses and elevated flyovers. This upgrade will cut travel time from 45-50 minutes to just 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, a signal-free circular road at Kalindi Kunj has reached the DPR stage. The design follows the AIIMS and Dhaula Kuan corridors. Overall, these projects will enable faster travel, reduce emissions, and improve urban mobility across Delhi and the NCR.
